Congratulations! The deal is signed and sealed - and your client is moving into their new home. Our real estate experts have put together a few tips for keeping in touch with your clients and making sure that you are top of mind should they ever decide to re-enter the market.
  • First Things First - Ask for a review! Whether your client was a first time buyer or seasoned veteran, you put in your best effort to understand and meet their needs. Ask them to review your services as a real estate professional on RankMyAgent.com. After the deal has been signed, an emailed link or support button on your electronic documents will make it easy for clients to provide you with a review. This helps keep you top of mind by getting your clients to engage with their own thoughts on your service. It also gives you a reason to call back and say ‘thank you’ for a great review.

  • Stay Connected Social media is a great tool for staying in touch. Connect with your clients on Facebook and keep up to date with what’s going on in their lives. Has the newly-married couple announced that they are expecting a baby? They may well be in need of a larger living space!

  • Schedule Personal Time Almost everyone has jumped on the bandwagon of calendars, pens and other little trinkets. Giving these out can get expensive – they’re also sometimes lost in all the other branding that people are bombarded with on a daily basis. A basic scheduling tool or CRM will help you to keep track of the personal time that you’ve spent on your past clients. Taking a few minutes out of your day once or twice a year for a personal phone call or even to drop by with a tray of muffins will go a long way in showing your clients that you’re in it for the long haul. This kind of action speaks volumes – you weren’t only interested in a commission, but wanted to see them thrive and grow in their new home. Who do you think they will think of first when friends, family or even they themselves are looking for a real estate professional?
