Perhaps the snow on your front yard has not melted yet and the idea of spring seems like a far distant thought. But now is the best time to prepare your house for the spring market. It's the time of the year when the temperature drops to a frigid zero and even down to the negatives, so you'd rather stay indoors and get toasty by the fire. There's no better time to prep up your house for selling it in the springtime.
It is also the time to get those muscles flexing and moving by de-cluttering your house for selling or renovations in the upcoming months.

It's time to clean out the closets, ditch the decade-old trash, and give away the gently worn clothing to those who need it during these cold winter days.
There are various organizations in your local community where you can donate your gently used second hand items.
The #REALgiving Project is one of them, the Toronto project founded by realtors want to share the opportunity of donating winter gear to those who need it most during the harsh winter weather after the news of two men dying in the cold broke across Toronto this past week.
You can find out more information on how the project and how to contribute here

Now, where to begin? Or how to begin? As you peek through the piles of stuff, you're just stumped on what to do and where to start.
It's easy, really. Just sheer determination and persistence needed to have a clutter free organized home.

Now let's get started.
You're all geared up to de-clutter and you stand in the midst of boxes and stacks and piles, and you ask yourself, where's a good spot to begin. Don't overwhelm yourself. Take it one spot at a time.

Attack the spots one corner, one shelf, one counter at a time. This will give you off to a good beginning by de-cluttering these concentrated points one at a time. It is always handy to bring two trash bags -- one for trash and the other for items that can be donated. It is efficient to create a list of to-do's for the home, and prioritize each task.

Next step is to de-clutter consistently. Keep on de-cluttering no matter how slow as long as you're doing it. Clutter slowly emerges so don't let the small things pass you by. Take it one small clutter battle at a time. But don't stop. Doing it slowly but steadily is more like it than going into short bursts of cleaning up.

Having a committed schedule for decluttering is a good way to set and accomplish your goals. Starting with short intervals can help you ease into the dedication of larger decluttering project.
Often, the hardest part is starting so don't wait for tomorrow or later to start. Plan your schedule and start it now. Find a spot for things, as finding a spot for every single item will help stop the accumulation of clutter in your home.

You'll be surprised how a simple task of de-cluttering can make a world of difference on the look of your house -- making it highly marketable in spring. When clutter is gone, a room will look like it just had a new splash of paint on the wall. They say a clean de-cluttered house will have more chances of getting sold easily plus it can fetch a higher price.

Your home interior will look bigger, brighter and more inviting once the clutter is gone. The notion of having and showcasing a simple and uncluttered house have more benefits -- less stress, less to clean and more zest and time to pursue other passions. Your home is transformed from a boring messy house into the buyer's dream home. It will look warm, welcoming, spacious and simply amazing. It will give your house the attention and the price it deserves.
